Las Vegas Air Cleaners
If you’re in Las Vegas and looking to install air cleaners in your home’s ventilation, then you should hire professionals to get it all setup. At A-TECH Heating and Cooling we don’t use a “cookie-cutter” approach to projects. Instead we consult with homeowners and learn more about their lifestyle, home and budget needs before making an air cleaning system recommendation.
Las Vegas Air Cleaners
There are two main types of air cleaners out there. The first one is the mechanical air cleaner which is basically just a filter. This HEPA filter traps larger practices such as pollen and dust, so that the air going through your home is clean.
The other type of cleaner is the electronic air cleaner which works by creating electrostatic attraction to trap really small particles. HEPA filters usually let particles smaller than .3 microns get through, while electronic air cleaner stop these smaller particles.
Now there are some advantages to using either model, and there are also some disadvantages. An electronic air cleaner does not require as much maintenance as a mechanical cleaner, but it does use extra electricity. HEPA filters on the other hand do not use as much electricity, but they let in smaller particles.
Depending on your home and lifestyle, our experienced technicians can determine which solution is best for your needs and budget.
Las Vegas Electronic Air Cleaner Repair
Unlike HEPA filters, electronic air cleaners can break down. Sometimes it’s best to replace them, but at other times they can be repaired. If your electronic air cleaner has broken down, we can arrive to your home the same day you call us. We understand that while a filter breakdown isn’t as important as an HVAC system breakdown, it’s still very important for homeowners to get back up and functioning.
What Else Can I Do to Improve my Indoor Air Quality?
If you live in Las Vegas and give us a call, we can tell you more about UV germicidal lights. We also have an article about this on our website. Basically UV germicidal lights are installed in your ducts, and they are able to kill germs, viruses and bacteria that travel through your ventilation.
Indoor air quality is improved significantly when a combination of air filtration system is used alongside UV germicidal lights. If you’re curious about this option, please give us a call.
